A Message from Sir Andrew Bowden to Student Ambassadors

Dear Hailee:

As a member of the British Parliament for 27 years, I welcome your participation in the People to People Student Ambassador Program. I congratulate you on having joined a programme which seeks the highest calibre individual to participate as a Student Ambassador.

For many years I have observed the success of Student Ambassadors in building friendship and understanding with citizens of other nations. Cultural differences and languages tend to diminish in importance as one befriends the people of another culture. Becoming better acquainted with the government and ways of life in other parts of the world cannot help but assist students in their future academic and vocational goals.

No cause is more worthy than the promotion of international understanding. I commend your interest in furthering goodwill and would like to take this opportunity to extend my very best wishes for your mission overseas and your personal future.
